Power steering whine

Hey guys just a quick question when you lock up your wheels to turn right or left does your power steering make like a whine noise? I can post a video if it will help, guy at dealership said it's normal but just curious.

It's a 2010 Dodge ram 3500 6.7 cummins

If you turn to full lock you will max out the pump, once you hit the turN stop, for God's sake...back off it!

No I understand that at a full lock that you will really hear it but I'm just wanting to make sure that it's normal that's all.

Yeah, at full lock you'll hear it.
Just be careful what fluid you use, these racks are very sturdy.......unless you don't use the correct fluid[emoji4].

On my steering wheel it's loose and very easy to move the truck can jerk it easily is that normal as well?

Is the steering wheel actually loose or is your steering wheel just that touchy?

Steering wheel is just that touchy, there's no play in the wheel it's centered and everything. It just has a quick reaction to turning if that makes sense and maybe it's cause the rack and pinion steering?

I read where that people have had to tighten the steering up on the rack and pinion and others have said it's normal.

Sounds like it's just touchy, nothing abnormal. Mine is pretty touchy.
