Pulling to right

Installed new upper control arms today. Truck is now pulling to the right. I know I’ll need an alignment but does replacing Uca’s affect the alignment enough to cause a hard pull to the right? I had it aligned 6 mos ago but I’m sure the ball joints were bad at the time. Any info??

Replace things in the front end, I'd automatically schedule an alignment too.

May have installed the control arms on the wrong side. They are side specific.

Around 8:50 they talk of the difference for left & right and the hole for the clip. Check it out to make sure you got them right. But it sounds like it may of been aligned when the ball joints were wore out so it would be off, plus there's no guarantee the parts are exact from the old especially if they're aftermarket.

Also if you used cheap amazon upper control arms could throw it off aswell depends what you used.

Yep they were left and right. I made sure.

Takes very little to affect the front end. Developed a slight pull to the right over time, rotated the tires, pull disappeared. No visual evidence of uneven wear. Any slight difference in these control arms versus what was on there, and there would be a difference if the old ones needed replacement, would easily account for a pull.

A hair of being out of spec can cause a pull, removing the whole damn arm and replacing yes you need a alignment lol
