They are all great! They let you know that you will be pulled over and receive a speeding ticket any minute.

Radar and laser detectors are obsolete. Get Waze navigation app for your smart phone. You will see police marked along your route long before any detector will tell you. I drive A LOT for work and use Waze every day. I routinely see police marked on my route and when I pass the spot, they aren't there..... they are getting out of their patrol car 1/4 mile up the road about to write someone a ticket. Many other times I see them hiding right where they are flagged. I had radar and laser detectors for years and have given up on them since the invent of this app.

biggest downfall to this app is you rely on other users marking the cop. If others arent using the app then your SOL where a jammer would block the signal.

These will never be worth the $1000+ IMO. Even with jammers they still won't block everything coming in.

I guess I will be "that guy" and say I have not needed a radar detector in close to 30+ years driving. Not driving like an idiot and staying with the flow of traffic has done wonders in staying out of trouble with the Police.

In my younger years when I was a more "spirited" driver, I had a radar detector and in hindsight was probably more of a hindrance in trying to get out of tickets in having it than not having it and driving more reasonable.

I agree. Here in Virginia radar detectors are illegal anyway.

I use a Valentine One and it never fails me. The only time I got busted was going from Las Vegas to Reno doing about 90 up a hill....radar never caught the state trooper coming up the other side, until we reached the top and my radar went crazy.

I use an older Escort Passport QI45 with Jammers. I can assure you they work. That jammed first alert gives me the 2 second i need to back off the throttle and shut the unit off.
