trucks a few weeks old, and 3 times I’ve had it either not turn off or possibly turning itself back on.

2 times the dash cluster was on, 1 of those the radio unit was lit up but nothing displayed the other the radio was running.

Just went outside and heard the radio playing and I’ve been home 3hrs. Nothing was on but the stereo.

Each time I have to start the truck and turn it back off to get it to shut off.

The settings are 45sec off after shutdown. May go to none but it seems to be something more serious than that.

Make sure you get videos of it happening as documentation with the dealer or worse.
Might end up being something difficult to locate.

just got email stating that radio did an automatic update and is creating this problem. Valued Customer, you may be experiencing some technical issues with your Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge or Ram vehicle radio. FCA had issued an automatic update to the radio, which can cause it to continuously restart. FCA is currently working toward a resolution.

@ramcares, I would like an option to disable auto updates for exactly this reason. Each update by the Uconnect software team seems to cause more issues than it solves.

It’s time for them to get some better developers or do a LOT better with beta testing their code.

Hi TomT,
We regret to hear of this. Just to clarify, the rebooting concern stemmed from a SiriusXM Travel Link signal and is unrelated to any FCA over-the-air updates. If you are experiencing concerns that are related to OTA update, please feel free to send us a PM. We'd like to know more.
