Sorry for the dumb question but what does the update even do? And does it work on the RHB?

Yes it will work with the RHB.

The firmware upgrade will change the screen from the blue screen to a black screen that will blend in more with the dash cluster. It also has improvements in functions, I think they were listed here when the update came out. You will be adding Firmware update 50.00.07.

If you do the update there are a few prior versions to 50. Depending on your version you will have to add each version in order up to 50.

So I called them up and they said that since I'm on 33.00.41 I can go straight to 50. So I just download it onto a cd and go from there?

Yep - that's all there is to it. I did burn my CD at a slower rate, I think 4x, probably didn't need to, but my anxiety neurosis kicked in.

Okay so I finally got around to doing the update and the picture that was on the right is no longer there. Any suggestions?

Are you referring to the landscape pic like this?



If so, press the Menu key, then select the picture view soft key, (on the screen)

If you loaded your own pics, press the my files key, select manage my pictures soft key, select the pic you want and press set as picture view soft key

Okay I figured it out. If you download the update from another site besides navrepair like I did the first time it didn't load right or something so I redid it from navrepair and it's working again thanks for the help.
