Does this challenge require onroad/ off-road or anything? Guess I'll be digging out my protractor

This pic can be wherever you want it to be...the angle is the only requirement. I know there are plenty here that have done it before...and many others here who think they have...a true 45+ degrees feels like you are close to upside down...especially if you are going down a cliff, not just up a dirt pile for a photo (I've done that too...lol).

We have an ascent/decent hill on our test track at work, it's for combines though so it doesn't hit 45 degrees haha

^^^Sorry, but that won't cut it..lol. The dirt hill there is maybe 30 degrees, but the challenge is your ram (the truck itself) exceeding 45 degrees. Your truck in the pic doesn't look like its to even 15 degrees.

Well, it sure felt like 45 degrees or more in the truck.

I will let you be the judge.

It looks like the camera is slanted too though, which means that its actually a steeper angle than the picture shows. Looks like 45 degrees to me

Yea after looking at that picture its not 45 degrees

Well, I know that I drug both ends going down through the approach of the hill...and I thought I was holding the camera level, but I was standing on un-level ground, so I might have been off a bit.

I work in the construction industry, specifically designing wood trusses for structures, so I know that 45 degrees is pretty damn steep. I thought this was pretty close to getting it, but Gymkata shoud probably be the judge.

Its hard to find something that has that kind of angle. Most people shy away from that thinking its unsafe. I walked up this hill a bit to see what I thought of the angle, seemed pretty close to me.

Yeah, we had a muddy 35 degree hill on our HMMWV driver training course in Hawaii, and that felt pretty darn extreme.

Was it ruled as handled?

Am I going to have to step up and get this one knocked out?

I can get one coming down that grade, but not up unless it is really hooking up... it is hard to walk a clean paved, 45 deg incline.

But, I will go for it if it isn't officially handled soon.

I was waiting for Gymkata to rule on it. After seeing the photo that katokahn99 posted, I am questioning it as well.

Its Gymkata's challenge, I think he should be the judge.

If anyone's truck is equipped to handle this challenge, it's yours.

I agree. Unless you have a pretty good lifted truck, your not gonna do this without dragging the front and rear. Trust me, I found out just a little bit ago. I had our base engineer measure a hill on base and it came out to 43 degrees and I drug the crap out of the plastic below the front bumper on my 6.4 2500. So I'm not gonna do this one. Lol.

In the spirit of keeping things going, I'll accept that. I don't want anybody getting hurt trying to get a full 45 degrees.

When I posted the challenge I thought somebody might have an extreme wheeling pic from the past or something. I know I've well exceeded 45 degrees in a Jeep Cherokee in the past. At an off road driving school we had to go down a 15 foot cliff. We had tow straps hooked up to another vehicle on top to try and prevent flipping the Cherokee. After you crested the cliff you had to apply just the right amount of brakes and then actually give it gas when you were about to flip head over heels...lol...now that felt like being upside down...because we damn near were.

Ok, lets make this one easy for everyone.

If you have kids and you pick them up from school, in front of their school. If you don't have kids to pick up, don't get caught for stalking kids at a school, but get a picture of your truck at a school.
