Just got my 2012 ST and I want to get as close to an SRT-10 truck as I can without the V10, etc. Lowering it with McGaughy's, JBA headers (long tube if I can find them for a California truck), Magnaflow cat back, Vararam CAI unless I can figure out how to make a true ram air hood smog legal and a Diablo tune and maybe a few other mods to start. What I want to know is how wide a tire can I put on the rear? I measured 13.5 inches from the outside edge of the wheelwell to about a half inch from the coil spring. Would I be able to put a 305 or maybe even 325 tire on a 10 inch rim in back and keep the 275's on the front? It is a street truck, my first, all the others being off road so I'm taking it easy until I am comfortable. Thanks

You got mayjor problem.
You bought a 4th gen..:)

But 305/45s is what you want to run on SRT10 rims anyways.

Thanks for the welcome! Damn it but I'm working that weekend. I will be trying to get together with others from around here. Baldwin park isn't that far at all. Are you guys saying I can get 305's on the stock 20 inch rims? That would be cool but I didn't expect that. I'm parting out another vehicle so I'm going to have some cash for a few mods but not everything I want. Thanks again.

If he's lowering it a 305/40 is a better fit.

I like your idea, OP. When I built my R/T my goal was what I thought a modern SRT10 would look like. I came up with this:

Could you fit 45s on a 2-4 drop?

I run 45s now at stock height and probably could drop it 3-5 or so and be fine. Might rub up front turning though.

Can you? yes. Will it rub a lot? also yes. The 40 is just a better fit for a drop. No drop....45 for sure. I actually ran a 305/35 on mine.

Now that modern version of a Ram SRT-10 is a sweet looking ride. Just needs the ram air hood. I'm still hopeful about finding one that will somehow pass California smog. So my stock 20's will fit the 305's?

If you want to run stock 20" x 9" Sport wheels,
You'll want a 305/50R20 tire (12.4" x 32")

That's what I have on my dropped 10' RCSB 4x4 with stock 14' Sport Wheels

You'll probably want more of a street tread on a 2WD though, like a Nitto 420s

Beautiful truck. What drop is that? Yes, i have been looking for a good, high performance street tire for 2wd. Thanks. I will be posting pics of it as the mods are applied.

It's a Ground Force 2/3 (only one specifically made for a 4x4)
actual drop is closer to 1.5" front, 3.75" rear so its almost level now.
(Factory rake on a RCSB 4x4 was ridiculous)

If you're looking for an SRT looking Hood, check out the new AMP
Hemi_Express2013 just picked up... its actually functional
