Snakes are effective, too. We got extra Burmese Pythons here in S. FL.......lol
My Son had a Chevy Blazer that acquired a rat in his engine bay, chewed up a dozen or so wires, with a few within an inch of the brain. Was a b itch to resolder them.
Everything he tried had failed. I brought a large snap trap and baited it with a knotted piece of twine slathered in peanut butter.
We set the trap on the distributor and lowered the hood onto a piece of 2x4 for a prop, and were talking for no more than 5 minutes when the trap snapped.
The big fat rat was no more.
