Receive txt messages while driving?

2017 Limited.
My iPhone pairs easily with the truck, phone calls come in over the truck sound system.
However, when I receive a txt while driving, the iPhone doesn’t let me know (no sound announcing the received text).

What’s the solution to this? I’m missing text messages when I’m on the road.

on the phone side tap the Bluetooth connection for u connect, and enable the show notifications tab. tada text messages.

Yup turn this on. I stopped using it cause it was getting annoying.

A day after pairing my wife's phone to my new, 2015 Laramie we were going down 95 with the radio on. The radio goes off and says you have a text message. We say something like play and the text message was read over the radio. Even said with a smile face. lol That was really cool.

Just as the post under mine earlier, i disabled as it gets real old. Have a good song playing and every few seconds it drops out for some stupid notification.

Hi,

I don't receive the notification anymore, so UConnect don't read the messages.
I didn't change anything in my iPhone Bluetooth setting, and I think it stoped working with the last iOS update.

Any idea ?

Go into settings > Bluetooth on the phone and turn off the “show notifications”, then turn it back on. If that doesn’t do it, pair the phone again.

Mine has always stopped working after an iOS update, that always fixes it.
