Redline 5w-20

I switched to redline after running castrol edge 5w-20 from reading on here. Wanted to quiet down the valvetrain and it has. 1671 miles in and its noticeably quieter. Truck feels smoother.

First longer trip pulling anything, my 4 wheeler and trailer. Around 2k, truck loaded down with coolers etc for a few days in the woods.

Looking forward to seeinf how she does.

Yeah, 5w20 Redline killed my hemi tick and many guys on the board. It looks like you have a 2013, might wanna consider 5w30 redline, we call that hemi honey round here. What filter are you using? Spun Microglass paired with Redline and usually that translates to a long oil change interval if you need it to overcome a little of the cost it takes to buy the Redline. Glad it is working for ya.

RL is good stuff. Been using it exclusively since my first oil change. Going to change it again tomorrow. I like 5w30 and have had no issues with the slightly thicker formula. I also use a Royal Purple filter.

I think I will.go.to 5w-30 next oil change. Couldn't find a rp filter so using a fram.ultra this time

Looks like it says 125° trans. 208° oil temp is for the engine oil

Yeah trans at 134, oil at 217. Thats uphill, hottest u saw the oil was a long uphill, oil got to 221.

Trans on flat ground stays around 125
