Remote Locking Tailgate

The newer rams tailgate locks lock when you lock your truck with the key fob. I have a 2011 1500 Regular Cab Outdoorsman. Is that something I could add in?

i think ive seen that this can be added on just not sure how hard the job would be

I've considered adding this for some time now, my understanding is that it can be done with this MOPAR kit:

I think there is a DIY on this one or the other forum. I've been considering it.

Wish they made a kit for the Ramboxes.

I have, added it to my 2010 at the same time I did the backup camera, followed the thread on here which was pretty spot on. Fairly easy, running the wires down the side of the truck was the hardest part, more time consuming than hard. Works great, I like not having to think twice when we're camping and there is a bunch stuff in there, With the solid fold cover, it's like a trunk, and it keeps honest people honest.
