Had remote start added today and VERY HAPPY I did.
My local dealer I use sent me a email about 10 days ago stating anything I buy for the truck they will install for free, so I nibbled and called them and asked does this include remote start?
There respomse was anything as long as it was a Chrysler, Dodge Ram product.
So I ordered the factory kit, (I use the local Chrysler Jeep Dealer for my Ram)
It was a little bit more from this dealer BUT that was ok.
So 350.00 for kit and install and program, I am very happy.
The cost of llabor would have been 400.00, so I saved 400.00.
This deal was on anything from floor mats to lift kits.
I do have a local Ram dealer real close BUT there rep is to get customer in, get them out and try to up sale everything.
The last time I used them was right when new owners took over and it took a hour an half for oil change thru the express lube lane.
They also recommended I change air filter, so I asked, did they really look at it?, they stated YES.
I said BULL CHIT lets take a walk, I walked them out to my truck, popped hood removed air dilter and said, How does this need replacing?
I have a AEM filter which was cleaned about a week before I went in for oil change.
The service started to studder, I said I will NEVER be back, paid and left.
They still are calling me offering free oil changes.
