My a/c evaporator is leaking and they want $1300 to replace it. The part is $67 at rock auto.

I know it's labor intensive removing the dash. Is this something I can do and save my cash? Is there a PDF out there I can follow?

Don't know of any online manuals for this job and haven't heard of any posters doing this unless they were in the business.

Looking at what needs to be done, 1,300 doesn't really sound so bad.

A lot of work involved and unless you are really good mechanically I wouldn't attempt the Job.

I've done it in my 03. Mine was cracked. I replaced the entire thing in about 5 hours by myself.

Just remove all trim pieces, thick kick panels, remove the speakers, and unbolt the steering column. The dash will twist back towards the seats and then you can slide it out.

Edit: the steering column doesn't have to come all the way out. It will sit on the floor when you unbolt it.
