Please help
My reverse lights only work with the parking brake engaged.
Story:
I locked (or thought i did) my keys in my truck. Coat hangered the door open and because i couldn't find my keys in the truck i popped the hood and disconnected the battery to silence the alarm.
Found my keys inside my house - went out connected the battery and started it up. no issue till i noticed my aftermarket reverse camera, reverse aux lights, and factory reverse lights wouldn't work once the parking brake was released.
I have checked everything and i do not have voltage to the reverse light wire unless the parking brake is applied prior to putting the truck in reverse. also as soon as you release the brake they all go out and you have to recycle the gear selector and repeat the process correctly.
Any idea?
Thank you
