I've been a little less active here lately, life's been busy. About 2 weeks ago however, I traded in my '11, 1500 Outdoorsman for a 2014 2500 Cummins.

The quick story, wife talked me into getting a toy hauler. After taking delivery a few weeks ago and taking the whole rig to the scales, the 1500 was over weight. So I found a good deal on a diesel with 27k on the clock and pulled the trigger.

SWEET! That is a beautiful looking truck! My experience was similar... bought a new travel trailer, our Tundra had plenty of power to pull and plenty of brake to stop... but payload was lacking and 7-8 mpg's and a 26 gallon tank were huge problems.

I was looking for a gas Ford or Ram 3/4 ton and stumbled upon a used 2015 CTD 2500 with 10K miles for about what I was looking to pay for a gas truck. Couldn't turn that deal down. Now I've got about 22K on the Ram and LOVE it!!!

Congrats and put some more miles on that sucker!

Thanks fellas. I like it. It's got a ton of options that the first owner spec'd out when he ordered it; came with the original window sticker.

The only kicker is the 1500 would have been paid off in 2 weeks. Oh well, payments are less on this so we keep on payin. lol

Great looking truck. Better safe than no payments and a disaster waiting to happen. Congrats.

As I get older, I'm starting to realize that wives tend to be WAY smarter than we are. Mines the one that talked me into getting trading my 1500 for a 2500 as well. If it weren't for her, I'd still be *******' and moanin' and clenching my butt cheeks every time I towed.

congrats on the new truck, enjoy!
