As the title says some of the LED's in my left rear taillight are dimmer than the rest and visually flickering. They still light up, but I'd say they are only about 30% as bright as the rest. I believe this to be the reason I have a left rear brake light out message on in the truck. I also have a license plate light out message on the dash, and I've seen one of those lights flickering as well.
I've read a lot of information about people who do the LED conversions having issues like this but my truck (2014 Ram Sport) came stock with Mopar LED taillights.
Are my only options to live with it and flash out the driver info message with a scanner, or replacing the taillight? Is this a common issue with Mopar LED taillights? Would I be better switching to aftermarket taillights if I decide to replace it?
Pictures show left and right taillights lit up and you can see the problematic LED's in the top right corner of the left taillight.
