I'm actually thinking about trying vinyl wrapping the bumper and handles, and I MAY leave the wheels alone.. I like the chrome wheels, just not the chrome everywhere else lol.

I've thought about vinyl wrapping my rear bumper but some say that vinyl sometimes doesn't stick too well to chrome. I'm interested to see how it works for you. Otherwise I may just bite the bullet and buy a new paintable bumper and have it color matched.

Yea.. As far as the grille goes.. I want to buy the entire r/t assembly and paint it to match body color. The plasti-dip is OK, but it definitely doesn't match the body color nearly as well as I want.

Im confused I think? Is there any difference between the r/t grill than the one you have? Other than the honeycomb.

Not trying to manipulate or change your mind... But the chrome on your grill isn't actually chrome, it's plastic, and is the same process to change out your grill and paint a new one (instead of just painting, it's + the price of a new grill that isn't needed)... And if the inserts aren't anything different from the normal honeycomb.. Just buy the r/t badge for $10 and throw it on there.

But on a side note (opinion), it's about the same thing as putting an srt10 badge on it.. Especially since R/Ts are only 2 doors.

The r/t and sport grilles are the same. Not putting an r/t badge on my truck, never said I was going to.


The difference is, i don't have to take my grille on the truck off, paint it, and be down and not able to drive the truck(I refuse to drive open grille with active grille shutters)

I can paint it, let the paint fully dry, and then swap.

If I ever have a need in the future to put the chrome grille back on, I can, as it wouldn't be painted over.

I like keeping the stock parts handy..

I just picked up a new OEM paint to match grill for under $150. Got a quote for $200 to paint it. Gonna drop it off next week

I decided to vinyl wrap the shell of the grille, the plasti dip didn't hold up on the actual inserts, so I peeled it off. I actually like the look of the grille surround black, with the chrome inserts

Peeled in a corner.. I assume when I peeled the plasti dip off the grille inserts, it peeled a part of the plasti dip off the grille shell with it. Plus I didn't like the color of the "black" plasti dip either. Had more grey tones in it that I don't care for.

This part # 68145441ac is weak! I have a new sport. I discovered mine was cracked. Don't know how? No impact that I know of at all. I noticed because my fog light was flickering. It appears just light plastic to pretty much hold all bumper parts rigid. I have to change it. That part is the energy absorber. It has many places that things bolt up to
