spark plug gap

anyone know how much i should gap spark plugs on my 5.7 hemi, i have a magnaflow exhaust and K&N CAI, i dont know if that changes anything?

Mods won't change the size of the gap needed. I believe the gap is .045 for our hemi's.

.045 is stock, a bit of trivia is the gap will grow .001 every 2000 miles.

Makes sense why mine were a bit over .064/5 when I took then out then haha

I pull my plugs fairly often as it gives me a sense of security to see their color and condition. It's old school but an effective way to understand all is well as far as the cylinder combustion goes.

I need to change my spark plugs. Any recommendations on what brand or type I should get.

I run NGK's. You can also run Champions. Get the copper ones. Either brand is good. If I recall correctly the part number for the NGK's is 5306.
