I brought my truck in for an oil change, tire balance, and rotation. I also asked them to check a squeak in the dash as well. They had looked at the squeak before. They have not been able to recreate it either time.
Last time, the mechanic tightened a bolt that had something to do with the wipers. He listed it as a common fix…
After a couple of weeks it was back. When it was squeaking, usually going over bumps in the road, I could make it stop by turning on the wipers…
It got so bad that even a loud radio wasn’t drowning it out. It was pretty constant up until the day before I brought it in….. So they must have heard it They are replacing the wiper motor under warranty. The service manager said it was pretty common.
Just a FYI if you have a squeak in the dash….
