I think the 1st gens would be more popular if the aftermarket was more involved. Plus its hard to find one that has'nt been beat up

Here is a chop I did for a guy has had to make the parts because they are not available.

Was a chrome bumper, did a body match but its a bit much. Was thinking about a black cap on top

A fellow SEM member has an 86 D150. He's riding way low...he's only got 4 inches of ground clearance.

I like those Trucks and remember as an Army Private I was given a Brand new 1987 Silver one (4x4) to care for and use to haul Ammo down Range. Of Course i deviated off course alot (cross-country) and had to wash that sucker almost everyday.

Like the burnt orange paint and the stripe. Needs to be lower though

I could get more pics, but it would'nt be pretty. Cab, doghouse, and the bed are on skids in my dads backyard ( he's real happy about that). Frame is cut in half in my buddies garage, going to be a while before its picture worthy again

NICE!!! This is one I am looking at today during lunch for my 16 year old daughter. She wants a truck. It is a 1993 with a 318 and AT. A coworker is selling it.

Wonder how big of a motor you can run in that engine bay... Lets say a 440 would clear then bore a mild .40 over... hot cam with ported alum heads, and a decent intake manafold. Time to start looking for a project truck.

Newbie here, just picked up an '88. Throttle body 5.2. Had to replace the radiator, thermostat, power steering belt, (which when that snapped, caused overheat...drives WP, WTF?) It's in really not bad shape, lots of folks are surprised how little I paid for it. Clear coat peeling off to reveal a lovely satin black underneath, which I helped along with some Rustoleum...Oil changes have been kept up, good brakes, everything works, etc, But she slams into reverse...any ideas? Pix coming soon. Looking forward to the expert advice!

1st Gens S shall rise again & yes I was there when they were new also.

We shall bear D's W's & A's & RISE AGAIN

If I had the $$ I'd market my own line of parts. I've custom built almost everything you can think of for these trucks for 30 years. Lifted, lowered, body drop, chopped pro street drag, mud drag you name it.

My ride to the grave will be in the back of a 1st gen CrewCab with my Bearers riding in the cab
