Strange crackling noise coming from dash

I have a 2001 1500 with the 5.9 magnum and sometimes when I'm on the gas I'll hear this noise coming from the passenger side of the dashboard. It sounds almost like pieces of the dash board fell down and are flying around making noise but when I look under my dash cover I see nothing like that, my dashboard is almost completely destroyed so that's what made me think of that. Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be ?

Its common for air to get trapped in the heater core and cause the noise your describing. Start by checking your coolant level.
