Stuck block heater

Hey all I'm kind stuck, I am changing my block heater (I live in northern Alberta). I've taken off the starter, unscrewed the torx screw and I can't for the life of me pull this thing out. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm afraid I'm just going to damage something more. Any help is appreciated .
2007 dodge ram 1500 5.7lt

It is possible the heater assembly is screwed in. Some equipment has this variation.

It's not screwed in. It's slide in then a retaining clip and screw on the clip
