I found that if your device won't connect to your computer, then you need to uninstall spark and then install slim dx runtime (latest version). go thru the set up, and mkae sure it finishes, then install spark again, it's what got mine to work with my desktop puter, it worked with my laptop just fine (windows 10) desktop has windows 7 pro.
