Tailgate lock

Is there a way to "turn off" the tailgate from locking/unlocking every time you access the key fob?

unfortunately it locks/unlocks with the doors. You could unplug the lock actuator inside the tailgate then use the physical key if you want the tailgate locked.
You might want to put a gear clamp around the right side hinge to hinder someone from "borrowing" the tailgate.

My 2016 has the option to only unlock the driver door on the first key fob depression the second press unlocks all the remaining doors and tailgate.
I can change the option through my Uconnect interface

That's what I did, click once and only opens/locks drivers door. Twice and it does all.

I got tired of the tailgate locking anytime i had to throw something in the back always had to go in house and get my keys so I just un plugged it like mentioned above.
