Hello everyone, I just purchased a new ram 1500 a few months ago. It's a 2016 ram 1500 outdoorsman with 5.7l engine. My question is, what's the largest tire I can put on this truck without rubbing anything? It currently has 265/70r 17 on it now. I don't want to put a lift on it but think it would look nicer with a little larger tire. I also don't want to void my warranty. I have the lifetime warranty on it. Will putting a larger tire than stock void my warranty on anything? Thank in advance for the help.

I would check what the actual height is on that tire. Then try to determine how much more you can fit by checking the clearances.
I would suggest a level and then you can go to a 35" tall tire for sure.

I had a 2012 outdoorsman before it got wrecked and I was able to put 285/70r17 under it with not issues. That is also without a leveling kit.

I have a 2013 outdoorsman with only 1.5" of rake from the factory and I run 285/70/17 in Stock rims with NO rubbing. 9e4ba47c7555ade08b394db6bb54dc8d.jpg

Thanks for all the help. Will a 285 tire void any part of my lifetime warranty?

Doubt it since that's the stock size of the rebel.

As far I I know it shouldn't. I work for a dealership and I have never seen big tires void someone's warranty. The only way it would void it is if Mopar or the dealership can prove that you putting big tires on the truck is the cause of the issue that you brought in for. Hope that helps.
