Tow hitch class?

Does anyone know what class hitch is installed on the Ram 1500 with 5.7 and 8 speed trans? I have the 3.21 gear ratio if that helps

The factory receiver is a Class IV

I think it's a Class IV.
My 2500 came with a Class V

Have ordered a 2500 built and dealer tells me has a class V But comes with a class IV insert. What exactly does that look like? Thanks.

It’s just a reducer sleeve. Class 5 is a 2 1/2” receiver and class 4 is a 2” receiver.

You get a short 2.5" to 2.0" reducer if you want to use your old class IV hitch/ball. Truck receiver is 2.5". I just bought two hitch/ball setups. One for each size ball I'll possibly use. Both with 8" drop. Mounted the 2-5/16" ball on one and the 2.0" ball on the other. Never used a 1-7/8 ball for anything.

PS: Class V Receiver requires a longer lock pin with the Jesus clip for obvious reason.
