I am still struggle what to do Bilstein at 2.8 with a spacer in the rear, or install a 3" PA body lift.

With the body lift I must remove the Tow hooks because they will not fit on the original brackets.
Maybe some one has modified them so they will fit?
I think they can not be used as tow hooks then any more but is is just that I like them in front of the bumper.

Thanks and greetings,

Erik.

I know you can't use tow hooks on a 1.5" body lift. I don't recall on a 3" body lift if the mounts are accessible.

If your crafty enough you could use them. But my guess that's huge pita just to have them for a look.

With the bumper moving up and the frame stays same height, I don’t see how you could remount the hooks without cutting up the bumper itself

I vote against a body lift it will also give you a huge gap at exhaust that's gonna look like s*** imo even if you adjust the tips then they look goofy

I disagree. The gap is only on the hitch. Of course I made my gap less noticeable with 5" Carven tips. And art is subjective.

I think if you're going to cosmetically relocate the hooks, it would be a good idea to make the mounting fixtures you devise really weak.. like out of wood or something (I'm serious) so that nobody ends up depending on them. Chances are you won't be the last owner of your truck, wouldn't want someone in the future to hurt themselves or others for something they couldn't know about.

How can you be stumped? You're a self proclaimed lathe/machinist/engineer! Nothing should be beyond your capabilities. :superhack:

Lol never done that before I think the possibility that someone has done in the US is a lot bigger than here in The Netherlands

You need to slide underneath your truck and just lay there thinking if it would be possible, who knows you might come up with a solution.

You can’t relocate the hooks with the BL 1.5 or 3. And if you did, I sure as hell wouldn’t use them! I had the same concerns when I installed my BL. Just get over losing the hooks and add a light bar. And the gap is very minimal when 5” tips are adjusted.
