Will 4th gen sensors work on a 3rd gen?

I crashed my 2006 truck and two of the wheels and tires are bad. Someone on Facebook is selling his wheels and tires from a 2011. I made sure the tires are the same size and the bolt pattern is the same but was unsure of sensor compatability between generations.

I believe that your trucks TPMS controller, up near your front tire, maybe partially hidden by your inner fender
Operates on a frequency of 315MHz, so the TPMS valve stems would also have to use the same frequency

I believe that the Rams trucks after 2012, began using the 433 MHz TPMS
