Hi people, just changing my trannyfluid and am wondering if anyone out there knows the correct torque values for the pan bolts? I used a torque wrench and kind of reverse torqued them to 15ft lbs. Also does anyone have any experience using the "ultracork" gasket that comes with the Fram filter kit?Is this gasket anygood or should i just use the black rtv??? Thanks

Welcome, pan bolts in my manual calls for 105in/lbs. I use only the silicone sealer.

Use black RTV and the torque is 105 in. lbs. or 8.75 ft. lbs., so you have over torqued the pan bolts.

I use loctite 515 or 518 gasket eliminator aka "grape jelly" on trans pans and diff covers. Never had a drop leak.

Clean surfaces, proper product & cure time will lead to a successful trans service.

I've always used a paper thin layer of UltraRed sealant over the cork gasket, or a moist rubber gasket. Torque to just barely more than a twist of the wrist.

If you don't have a torque wrench like me then just snug plus one half grin. If you grunt or squint you've busted the bolt. Let the RTV do the work of stopping leaks not tight bolts.

I never use a torque wrench on bolts that small, just hand tight with a nut-driver usually.
