What year 545rfe transmissions fit the 200i Dodge ram 1500 4x4 with the 5.7 hemi? I'm looking to get a spare transmission to put away and I see all kinds of 2009 and 2010 that has the 545rfe for cheap and low miles. Just wanted to know what years would fit my truck

You can use any RFE from 1999 through 2011, even ones designated a 45RFE. It's the programming that decides how many gears it's gonna have. I have been told there may be connector differences in later years but I have not seen confirmation of this.

There are connector differences, but it depends on the solenoid pack on the old trans vs the new trans. If the old trans lets say has a white solenoid pack, and the new one has a grey solenoid pack, they’ll work as long as the new trans has a fully functional TRS plate and a fully functional (and compatible) valve body. everything else, i’m not so sure of.

Which Valve Body for rfe, white solenoid and you can't be wrong.

If you are not sure what valve body you need for any RFE transmission just install a seven-ball separator plate with a white solenoid and you can’t be wrong.
