Transmission question

I have a 2007 dodge ram 1500 quad 4.7L flex with 278K miles. I was driving on the highway and when I got off and turned the corner, the transmission seemed to disengage and the RPM's rev to like 7000. I trans would not shift into any gears and when I do shift from park, the RPM's just go high, no gears work. When I shift from reverse to park, I can hear a grinding noise. Checked for codes but nothing. I had the car towed to my house and I changed the fluid and filters but no change. Everything looked intact (filters) as it should when I changed the fluids. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

at 278k that baby is way past due if its orig just throw a good lower mileage trans in if you like the truck.
