They came on the truck. They're the OEM 2500 flare. They look good, but don't do anything to block tire sling. I get constant water/dirt on my door panel and the mirror. I don't wanna go mainstream with Bushwacker flares, as I feel they're played out, but I need something bad!

the bushwackers dont do anything to stop the sling either. My truck is dirty 5 seconds after i leave the wash. only thing to stop it would be some mud flaps but i hate the look

I need mud flaps too, I noticed chunks of material missing from my lower fender right behind the front wheels due to rocks.

I really like how you color matched the bumpers. That's something that I plan to do on mine. Great looking truck!

Sweet man!
Getting in and out will be easier and when tucked away will look badass.
Have you considered bushwacker Extended Flares?
They are without the fake rivets and cover 1.75"

Its something I'm considering the my deal for the HD goes through :D

Ooh, Ill have to check those out. Thanks for the tip!

What kinda paint you use here? I used krylon fusion when I did similar on my 1500 just makin sure I'd be safe doing it here too. Thanks

If you tell yourself you can or you can't you're right!

I just used high temp engine paint. But hoestly, I noticed its faded slightly, so I might redo it.

That grill is gonna look sweet.
Door handles are cheap to just buy new ones, you can get them already painted for 200. I just did mine all red. Not sure how well paint would hold up over the chrome.

Thanks guys! I'm sanding the chrome down, same as I did on the antennae nut and will do on the mirrors. Can't wait to see them on!

If anyone is interested, this is where I got the paint: http://www.automotivetouchup.com/

There paint is a perfect match, and the quality is amazing! This isn't your O'reilly's paint guys... The clear is incredible, just make sure you wear a resperator... as it's cancerous and poisonous. Even the paint cans have special spray nozzles. I highly recommend!!!

Did you get the spray max 2k clear or their 1k aerosol clear?

For the chrome, try hitting them with oven cleaner
I'm not sure how it'll work on exterior chrome but it strips chrome off of headlights and projector shrouds quickly

Man your truck is lookin' sick. Thanks for the paint link, I'll be having to get me some to color match some fender flares. Thinking about color matchin' some in-channel rain guards too. Who knows.

Truck is lookin' great though. Need more pics. :)
