Do it Dave!

I'm going to man. Trust me, I usually go pretty crazy with my vehicles. I haven't done that with this 1500 because I lost interest. I think I'd be much happier with a lifted/deleted/tuned ctd. I've always wanted to play with a diesel. I'm gonna put my truck up for sale. I've been looking at 2500's. Seems like I can get a used '12 or so for about $35k. I also see some new 2500 ctd's for like $11000 off sticker putting them close to the used price. Only thing is I don't want to wait for tuning to be released and I don't care about the warranty. I'll worry more about that when I'm ready to buy..

I just came across this thread, I've got a white 2010 CC diesel as well. I'll try not to clone yours, but I'm not making any promises =) Slick truck you got there! Quick question, are those the power wagon fender flares? If so, where'd you get em?

Sorry guys, I was MIA for awhile. Life just keeps happening :hmm:

So most recent mod is Bestop Powerboards. I also bought some paint to color match the mirrors, door handle, grille and antennae base, but that will have to wait for weather.

The steps on my truck go up and down, up and down, up and down :********:

These are awesome by the way!!!!!!

Those are sweet. How sturdy do they feel?

They're legit! Very sturdy, and I trust them. I tested myself, my buddy and two of my kids at the same time, and they held just fine and still felt strong. That's about 400 lbs. They're rated for 600lbs :driver:

I recommend them! Got these through Amazon for a steal, along with they're current mail in rebate for $100.

Also, they have very beefy brackets, and leds that come on when they extend/retract so you can see extremely well at night.

my wife has those powerboards on her tahoe. For being retractable they're quite sturdy, never felt like anything was gonna give.

They came on the truck. They're the OEM 2500 flare. They look good, but don't do anything to block tire sling. I get constant water/dirt on my door panel and the mirror. I don't wanna go mainstream with Bushwacker flares, as I feel they're played out, but I need something bad!

if you want to get rid of the oem ones, i'll take em off your hands. Been trying to find some in bright white (PW7)

edit: oh and I agree about the bushwackers

Sweet man!
Getting in and out will be easier and when tucked away will look badass.
Have you considered bushwacker Extended Flares?
They are without the fake rivets and cover 1.75"

Its something I'm considering the my deal for the HD goes through :D

What kinda paint you use here? I used krylon fusion when I did similar on my 1500 just makin sure I'd be safe doing it here too. Thanks

If you tell yourself you can or you can't you're right!
