UCA Preference

New to forum and have been read a bunch on different types of uca's people have chosen to go with. My question is, which do you prefer and why?

Looked into Moog with greasable ball joint but they don't make them for five lug wheels only the 8's...

I could go with the zones but i really dont want to pay 400 a piece lol

A lot of folks have been using the mevotech's. Just paint them first or they will get surface rust.

Zones are 400 for the pair. They are insanely well made and beefy as hell. You can tell they are built to handle some major abuse.

I have the Mevotechs as well. Just got a can of black rustoleum and painted about three coats on em. They looked a lot better once painted anyways and no issues at all so far.

No issues with mine except for rusting. I painted them up recently so that's fixed! Well built product

I got the Mevotech UCA'S, painted them with 3 coats of VHT Roll bar & chassis paint from Advance Auto , and set my bills @ 2.8" , now ready to install this weekend !

Installed the.Mevotecks and bills @ 2.8 easy install ( 4 out of 10 ) very happy with the set up and the bills ride noticeably better than stock !

Damn ! Now that's beefy and greasable , for the price they should install themselves and give you a free alignment ! LOL !
If I ever have a problem with my $40.00 yes that's forty $ MEVOTECS from Rock Auto , I may consider the Zone $

I'm not sure why the uca hype. I'm on 11" of lift, 37x13.50x20x13x-44 and zero issues with my upper control arms. is someone on here pushing them that has stock on mevotech

Because of all the hype about upper ball joints popping out (2013 + ) on OEM UCA'S , I purchased the MEVOTECS UCA'S For cheep insurance ( JUST IN CASE IDK ?) I mean cheap ! From Rock Auto , one was $40 the other was $39 hell for $80 + shipping if nothing else I now have greasable upper ball joints that are beefier than OEM S Lol , I did buy into the hype ...

Not sure if the guys W/Balljoint issues wer running Bilstein shocks or spacers for a level kit ? Not sure if the issues wer during normal operations or during extreme 4x4 play ?
Regardless of why , I now have the Bilsteins installed and set to +2.8" with new Mevotecs and I'll be holding on to my OEM UCA'S for a back up !

I plan on installing a 6" Zone or BDS kit in 18 months or before .... I may install a 3" body lift prior to that or at the same time , I can't wait to lift the truck ! ! ! !

They were expensive, but I thought what the hell, its a $52k truck and I didn't skimp on the wheels or lift, not saying the others aren't good. The Zone's do look damn good, as you can see them clear as day over the tire with the lift.

Lol , not a bad idea , I bet you could find several OEM UCAs with low mileage here in the classifieds ! I would do that but I already have an extra set since I just installed the Mevotecs!
@ Thatdude596, you should post a wanted add & agree to pay shipping only LOL I bet you'd get a bite !
