I have the standard Uconnect 3.0 radio with the lower console CD player and upper console USB and AUX ports. The CD player and USB port both work fine. Radio "Media" recognizes when a CD is put in and plays perfect. USB port charges my phone but the 3.5mm AUX port does nothing. It will not pick up my phone music. My phone and cable work fine in my other vehicles so it's not the cords.

Where should I start my trouble shooting?

I have a similar situation. It is telling me that my aux port is in use (but don't have one) and my USB port is unavailable (but I do have it) I have tried to do a hard reset by removing the fuse and disconnecting the battery. I can't do a software upgrade which UConnect says is available because my USB port is not working. I am trying to find a used center flip down arm rest so I can replace the ports in the arm rest but can't find any at the auto wreckers here.

I'm in the same position as you hdcmfan. I can't do an update to my radio because it doesn't recognize any of the ports in my upper console. There has to be an easier way to fix this like a USB cable that runs from the radio to the armrest??? I'd really like to update my radio and maps as they're very far behind in updates!

Hi everyone,

This may be something beyond the surface. Since I am not a trained technician, I am unable to speculate on that. However, if you end up going into the dealer for an inspection, let us know. We're available via direct message and would be happy to help with the servicing process.
