Uconnect 8.4 constantly restarting issue

Literally drove my truck off the lot on Sunday and an hour into the 4 hour drive home this started, fml. Talked to a local dealer when i got home who told me to put a destination in nav really far away and mute guidance, so that it navigates constantly until the issue is fixed. The good news with that hack is it continues to navigate after being shut off so its been staying on since Monday, the bad news is my truck is still trying to get to California. Don't bother calling uconnect or Dodge its a waste of time.

from what i have seen this will most likely only affect 2018 rams. I'm making an assumption that its the ones with car play and android auto. They have narrowed it down the the sirius travel link and will be suspending that service till the issue is fixed.

from what i have seen this will most likely only affect 2018 rams. I'm making an assumption that its the ones with car play and android auto. They have narrowed it down the the sirius travel link and will be suspending that service till the issue is fixed.

Is there a site or forum where you are getting this info? I’d love to find a technical resource to follow along.

I didn't not source this info....it was told to me. However Uconnect posted this info on their twitter account.

I have a 2018 with the 8.4 without nav and I don't have the issue. Probably just jinxed it though. Maybe it's the ones with Nav?

Mine has nav and I’m not experiencing any issues, but I also almost always put a destination in when I drive in case of traffic so that may have something to do with it.

My 2018 has been working fine. OP, is yours nav or non nav? Just seeing if there is a corellation. My radio did reset a single time the other night while driving and I was like “oh great, here we go,” but it never did it again and it’s been fine ever since.

Mine is nav

Still no issues with my 18 with nav. And I’ve never used the nav lol.
