Unique Speaker Mount Location

I'll try to explain a little better. What is confusing me is there is one front left speaker wire coming off of the wiring harness. Somewhere along the way it splits into two wires, positive and negative. I don't know where it goes from a regular wire to a speaker wire. This is why I'm having trouble connecting to it in the harness

Usually the male connection will be positive. Have you tried touching the ends to you head unit wiring to see if they play like that?
