Upgrading to a RA2

Will be swapping out a standard RA1 for a RA2 u-connect. Blue tooth connectivity is NOT the reason. Am I going to have problems if a microphone is not connected?

I have installed my RA2 from my RA1 truck, but radio turns off and back on every two minutes? Anyone got a solution??
