Well fortunately for me, they were already on it when I got the truck haha. But I agree I don't think they're worth the price. Especially for a truck like yours, that would look great regardless of if you have them or not. Personally I think they add good depth that my truck would otherwise lack.

I get more compliments with them on the truck than I did before, people like them. In no way are they trail worthy thats for sure, they would get ripped off fast me thinks.

The thing with hoods is that it's hard to tell what you actually like until you see one on a truck. It's irritating for sure. lol

Nope, it's not. lol Looks well built though. How long have you had yours?
lol Yeah. Could run a scoop where the AC condenser was.

Very hard to figure out what one will look good thats for sure, be nice to try both on and see what one I like.

Lets see four or five years its been on there, have not needed to replace a single part or filter.

Good luck getting someone to let you try a hood on. :D

Nice! Still looks brand new too.

put 100miles on er for guard drill. ran great lol. needa get a new TCC solenoid cuz that friggin CEL is getting annoying.

Merc I gotta say my vote goes for the 2nd hood. Always did love that on 3rd gens and its not somethin I've seen on a 2nd gen. I have seen the Reflexxion Viper locally and i gotta say it was nice

This hood is made by duraflex but looks very similar to the 2nd one on your list. Maybe this will help you decide.

He's got a few more pics of it in his thread here's a link

I've seen the r/t style hood on a truck before to. I'll have to do some digging to see if I can find some pics of that one later.

As for my choice I'd say the second one. I want to get that style hood for my truck someday.

Thanks for the op's guys :)

I appreciate the pix man thanks! If you do have one with the other hood that would be great.

Next Q is black, satin black or Carbon Fiber finish. First two would be paint last would be a wrap.

I'd be torn on black and satin black. Something about a satin black hood on a gloss black truck is just appealing to me.

All said and done they are not worth the money we paid for them, I could see $200 for the set of four but not the $450 odd $$ they ask for.

Yeah, that's the only thing keeping me from getting them right now... cant believe they all want so much for some molded plastic. Maybe my LED'S will sell soon, next bonus will handle VC's and Hughes kit, then on to exhaust :Duploadfromtaptalk1402347170090.jpg

One is drying, the other will need a final scuff and clean, then primer and sprayed... That'll have to wait for another day as looks like it's about to start raining again any second...

If I ever finish these, I'll mess with my bumper cover again, then on to the TB catastrophe.....
