What did you do to/with your second gen today?

I used that same set for my first retro. Did a set of the 1pc ebay junks too for another guy because that's what he wanted. Those turned out really. I switched from those chrome 2pc housings to the black version myself. First set i didn't know **** about doing it and they didn't seal perfect and i used the graphite shrouds. I thought they would glow and look really cool, nope. Really didn't match anything and wasn't a fan. Currently just running these fairly plain Jane lights with demon eyes (not happy there either).

Already wanting to re-do em again. Going to go with Spyder 1pc projector lights, pull their ****** projector, replace with Morimoto 7.0s, minor paint work and passive green demon eyes. LED high beam.

Keep us updated on those fogs, those look sweet

Why don't you like your demon eyes? Which ones did you get?

So on November 11th I totaled my 98 1500 2wd =(
Before I totaled it.

After I Rear-ended a hummer at 50mph

So I needed something to get around for school and work so the next week I bought a 1998 Subaru legacy wagon. AWD, 5 speed manual, and only 118,*** miles for $1,600.

So now that I'm on winter break I started looking around Craigslist for a truck and I found a young kid who wants to trade my subaru for his 1998 Ram 1500 4x4 5 speed manual. It has a brand new clutch, 3" lift, 33" tires, and oem everything in the interior.

The only thing I've enjoyed about the subaru is the gas mileage but I'd rather have a truck! Merry Christmas!!!!! =)

Went with the OEM looking replacment (so i can keep adjustability vs shimming the 1 pcs units)
FOR 1994-2001 RAM 1500/2500/3500 CHROME CLEAR HEAD LIGHTS+CORNER SIGNAL AMBER DY | eBay

And I'm a bit of a light *****, so no worries on it happening or not. I've retrofitted bixenon projectors into the past 5 vehicles i've owned.

And the Hellas and LED pods arrive today, so i'll have those installed and wired up this weekend

Also found some LED DRL/LED fog lights that should work nicely in the stock location with some custom mounting. The "C" shape is the LED DRL and the center portion is the LED fog (which can also double as a cornering light -comes on and stays on while turn signal is active if you wire it in)

I'd like to see how the Hellas turn out and where are you getting those fog lights from?

What kind of mirrors? Sadly it doesn't even come with a tow package! Supposedly the kid's going to put new mirrors on it, fix the tailgate, and fix the seat handle before I trade him. And get it smogged because I have the smog for the subaru.

Thanks. And yes even if the kid backs out the subaru is pretty nice just not what I want. I don't enjoy driving it like I did my truck.

True I see them on Craigslist all the time. I just don't have money, another vehicle to drive while I swap it, and I don't even have a garage or place to work on it.

Went through that mud hole that almost killed my flatbed a few months ago! I MADE IT!!!! WOOT. I had my little sister with me from out of state and wanted to show off, we almost got stuck but made it! WOOT WOOT!

Installed and wired up the Hella 500 Black Magic lights on the bumper


I modded them to accept HID bulbs (melted the back of the housing out to clear the bulbs) however upon installing them, the melted backside hits the grill when opening the hood, so had to remelt them back down to flush and just keep halogen bulbs

Haven't been around a ton lately thx to being busy and holidays. Over Christmas i went ahead and picked up a magnaflow direct fit y pipe/cat replacement as a backup. I pulled my shorty headers and all of my exhaust and bolted in pacesetter longtubes i picked up cheap, installed a pacesetter y pipe that was too short on the passenger side. Needed to splice and weld more pipe. Went with a Carven TR muffler and no cat. Clearance on everything was close and everything was a pain in the ass but I'm happy with the result. I'll post up pics and video later this week, i have to finish the passenger side where my splice is nexus i couldn't get the welder gun all the way around so it leaks bad. I have a few ideas though

Got my Xmas present installed after work today. New DeeZee brush guard. Pics to come soon. Now to shop for a nice big light bar to put on it.

So learning continues. Received my new clear stock style headlights. Pop them in the oven as i've done more than a dozen times to bake the headlights apart. The main portion of the headlight comes apart as normal but the outer reflector has started to melt. Wonderful. Also, the outer portion is epoxy glued on rather than a removable sealant. So i ordered ANOTHER set. No painting i guess since i can't get the turn signal portion apart.

Also upgraded the Hella's to 100w bulbs
