I had to do the same thing. The first time I dropped the tank and broke a stupid little fitting the dealership didn't sell just the fitting so I had to buy a whole other tank. The second time I unbolted the bed attached some straps and lifted it off W a forklift.... This made the job so much easier.

One side now, took my badges off and body moldings. On my trivet side, put a coat of flat onthem, going to get to the next side soon. wasnt much hassle, just used a multi tool bt snapon to cit the stuff off and clean it off
