I'm 6'4 and 250lbs. Came from a 2010 F150 and wish the B pillar was further back. It's next to my head when I look left. Although since the door isn't as long it is easier to open in parking lots. Really miss the keypad on the door. Absolutely can't stand that when I have a trailer hooked up it locks up the brakes when reversing unless you turn off the park sensors. AC fan could use a higher speed. Oil filter location is stupid. I'd prefer the trailer wiring connectors below the bumper so the wires aren't bouncing around against the bumper.

What is it about that key pad?? I’ve never owned a ford and not will I ever but I just don’t see what’s so good about that pad when someone like you posts or says something about it.

But hey, if it makes you feel any better, I don’t have that new of a truck with that auto-braking ********, but I do have to turn my rear park-sense sensors off whenever I have a trailer hooked up or if not, they’d drive me bonkers every time I put it in reverse.

I didn't realize how much I used the keypad. Being able to unlock the door without going in the house for the key was nice. I'd lock the keys in the truck if I was going to a water park or just didn't want my keys on me. Used the keypad to get back in. Could lock a spare key in it so my dad could pick it up. Used it more than I thought.

Yup, that is a feature that should be on every vehicle. I really miss it.

No, it's not a "dribble". Both the driver's side and passenger's side front windows get coated with streaks from the windshield wiper fluid.
My last few vehicles did that, my ram now, my Jeep renegade Trailhawk, f150, ranger, Hyundai accent.....

... that i cannot open the door to watch thee ground when backing up.
Sounds like you need to learn how to backup. Lol
Why would you need to open a door and look at ground?
You can look over your shoulder, you can look at your mirrors, or back up camera, and if you really feel you need to see the ground for some reason, tilt your mirrors down

12" 360L System is garbage in my truck. I hate this problem so much I am ordering another new truck and going back to the 8.4 screen

Come to think of it since you brought it up, most of our trucks these days now come with the setting in the Uconnect settings to where you can actually make your side view mirrors tilt towards the ground every time you put it in reverse…

They’re not all junk but they are a brand new system so reliability might be a concern over the next couple years.

It's all about the bugs in initial software releases. They get to the "good enough" point and release it to manufacturing, happens in every industry that's reliant on firmware/software. Hopefully future updates fix the known (and not yet known) issues.

They have redesigned the 12" system for the 2021 model because they cant fix the earlier ones. I have also read that supposedly the 2021 models are not able to be put in the previous year model vehicles.

Doesn’t surprise me but that just makes it all the better that my brand new truck in December 2017 was a 2018, not waiting to see what the new body style had in store, and it wasn’t entirely the looks. There was a lot of brand new technology on those new body style trucks that even with the last of the lifetime warranties I got, still wouldn’t have wanted on those new trucks.

Exactly why my wife just ordered a new Wrangler and NOT a Bronco. First year is no good. AND I know better and was going to put the 8.4 in this truck just like my last one. I would have been better off going to a Casino than order the 12"

clutch pack limited slip rear diff instead of Gleason type

....aaand how much more cost would a limited slip like that add over the traditional one they use? ....aaand you do realize that they aren’t making rock crawlers, right? All these limited slips are for is just for getting yourself out of your driveway and nothing more. They’re not intended for getting you up where the mountain goats go.

the 11.5 “ has had a a gleason style for a while now. So cost is probably nominal.
Gleason smoother and more durable AND no special oil additive needed l don’t rock crawl but if it is one less thing to fail why change it!

Being that you just now brought up the size of the rear end you’re talking about, and when you were talking about the CP3 versus the CP4 fuel injection pump that I now know you’re talking about a HD truck so, I just thought you were talking about the halftons. But who knows, if they were using that Gleason style limited slip before, I have no idea why they would change away from that to one that’s a lot like the one that’s like in my halfton.

But then again, since they don’t make these trucks for extreme off-roading, where would you be taking this truck that would cause that other style to fail? I mean, I would hope that even a clutch pack limited slip in a three-quarter ton or so would be a lot stronger than the one that was in my 98 halfton and the one that was in a 2004 Dodge Dakota I had but the only thing that ruined the limited slips in those two trucks was from taking them on some pretty extreme jeep trails up in the Colorado Rockies. They weren’t made for that kind of abuse.

just the more strength the better.....better to have and not need then to need and not have, because usually when you need it it is a long walk home

Ram just took 2 very reliable and proven things in our trucks and to save a buck or two made it less reliable! l as the end user would be happy to pay the little bit more for the most reliable parts avalible.

I agree, and I’m not saying all this is to argue with you but all I’m saying is that they don’t make these trucks over-built for what they weren’t intended for. Sure, better parts and components would make for a much better truck but people ***** enough about it as it is for how much these trucks cost these days and the more stuff like that you put on there is gonna drive the price up even higher. Just because you’d be willing to pay that extra cost for that, doesn’t mean that everybody else will.

I mean quite honestly, if I hadn’t tried to take those two trucks of mine up on some pretty serious jeep trails, I don’t think I would’ve ate up those limited slip diffs quite so bad. In the old 98, I never got it repaired because it wasn’t that bad because one day when I pulled the rear diff cover off, all I noticed I had wrong with it was a couple of ears were broke off on two of those clutch plates. It’s still made a slight popping sound every now and then whenever I went to make a turn, but it wasn’t all that bad. And the Dakota, whatever I did made one hell of a whining sound that pretty much resulted in having to have the whole rear axle rebuilt. Good thing I had an extended warranty because out of a $1700 repair bill, all I had to pay was 100 bucks… LOL
