I have a stock 2003 1500 Sport 4x4 quad cab. Black on black.

I currently have the ugly flower/butterfly wheels and would love to throw a nice set of rims and tires on there. This is my first truck and I do not know alot about tires and how big I can/should buy them. These Rams seem to look good with some big fat tires on some black rims, however do tires get very expensive once you start getting larger in size? (height not width).

I do not want to go on ebay and accidentally get some really crappy cheap wheels/tires I also do not want to spend $3k and up. My budget is around 1500-2000$

Appreciate any help with pictures! and suggestions/links to wheels to buy. Thanks!

Im not a really big fan of the SRt 10 viper wheels look on these rams but if they could be picked up for a good price I would consider it. I get so many complaints about my current flower wheels that they need to go!

I think I would prefer a set of black rims with big tires. 20 Inch wheels minimum.

is rockstar a brand of wheels? or a style?

You could also bump down to 17's (also the smallest size wheel you can fit) which in turn bumps down the price of both wheels and tires. Ever think about the Soft 8 style? You can get some Black Rock 997's from Jegs for like $400 then you'll have a grand to blow on tires. Also if you're going with black, are you going to start getting rid of that chrome?

I like the look of the 20 inch wheels vs the 17/18 inch.

Ok so it looks like i need a 20X8.5 or 20x9 with a 5x5.5 lug pattern correct?

What is the biggest size tire you can throw on these?

10-4! Just throwing you that suggestion.

Definitely need a 5x5.5 bolt pattern & I'd go with a 20x9 with -12mm offset. Maybe look at the MotoMetal 951's.

Are you leveled? Can't really tell if you are from that picture. If you are or plan to be by the time you get the wheels/tires and taking into account you are going with a 20" wheel, a 35" tire should do the trick although you may need to trim the part inner fender liners. For bigger tires, you'll need atleast a 6" lift

does leveled mean lowered? the truck is completely stock sport model truck. Hasnt been lifted or lowered. Woudl a 35 inch tire on a 20 inch wheel fit on stock height truck with no rubbing?

35's would really be stuffed and would probably rub a good bit if you hit some tough terrain or a speed bump. Look into cranking them torsion bars up front.

The stock rams sit lower in the front stock? I wasn't even aware of that. I can't tell if it is. Does it make a big difference if you dont level it? What needs to be done to level it?

with those fender flares i personally would get a 20x9 wheel with zero to +11 offset.

With just a level i think 33's look great so above wheel with 33x12.5x20 will look great
