what should preload be set to?? new bearings.

Hey all so i am wondering on pinion preload i am seeing mixed answers. So i have a 2006 dodge ram 1500 4.7 l v8 9.25 rear axle what should pinion preload be set to on new bearings? i have seen 15 inch pounds all the way up to 35 inch pounds i believe my preload loosened i originally set it to 18- 21 inch pounds to loose on new pinion bearings?
