Wheel Base

Is the wheel base the same on 5.7 bed and 6.4 bed? thinking of replacing my 5.7 bed with a 6.4 bed.

The second row is the wheel base. This is for a 2015 model.

Found this.


From this graphic, it looks like the extra length is between the wheel and cab. Looks like it would require cutting/extending the frame, longer drive shaft, and possibly extending the wiring harness.

Even if the wheel base, and wheel to cab dimensions were the same, you’d still have to extend the frame to relocate the bumper and support the extra length of the bed.

The wheelbase is the same between the 6.4 quad cab and 5.7 crew cab. 6.4 crew cab will be longer and apparently a rare find in a 1500. You would be better off trading for the desired bed length.
