I thought I read that that’s kind of misleading and more of a placebo to say it rides stiffer at any given setting........because once the weight of the truck is on the strut/spring that the “stiffness” remains constant regardless of 2.1 or 2.8 since the factory springs are linear?
That was a comment as to when I had the lower spring perch upside down. Linear or not, (which they appear to be) when I compressed the springs by the extra 3 inches or so by having that upside down, the ride was tremendously rougher. Every bump hole and wave in the asphalt was exaggerated. Potential energy in a spring builds with compression. More compressed = more need for decompression. Now, between the 2.1 and 2.8 settings I would have to believe the difference in ride would be negligible or non existent all together.
