I like white- but I'm not partial to black wheels. I'm old- I like chrome because that was the thing when I first started driving. White is least likely to be in an accident because of the higher visibility to other drivers.Any downside to white? Someone told me it’s a “feminine” choice. Ha. Dumb. I’ve never had a white vehicle. Thoughts?
My white Laramie has tan/beige interior- I love it!OK I live in Florida and it gets friggin hot here. White is a very friendly color for keeping the heat down and the paint lasts longer when it's white under normal conditions. Most of the interiors are black or dark grey however. White is a very popular color here and window tinting just makes the white pop even more, Also the white color doesn't show dirt or water marks nearly as bad as other darker colors. As for your assertion that its a feminine color.... wow really? If you said the same for a motorcycle I may understand that but a truck? Naaaa go for the color you like and works for you!
There’s also a very practical reason, white cars are 12% less likely of being in accidents than black cars. A white car is easier to see under most conditions. They also have a better resale value.I’ve had a lot of white cars in my life. The woman drives a white Lexus, and she’s also owned several white cars. Sort it out for yourself but here are the benefits as I see it:
1) You don’t know it's ‘that’ dirty until you wash it - mostly.
2) If you live in places where it’s always hot, your car inside does not heat up as fast.
3) Black accents on a white car look f*&*$@* awesome
4) Someone said it looks like a stormtrooper - YUP
Do what you want and screw the people who make noise. Their just jelly you have a awesome truck that they can't afford or are smart enough to figure out how to get one (bad credit etc).
No downside to white ... My last two trucks (present one included) were white and I have had many compliments on them ... Not to mention, white does not show the scratches or swirls that you may get over time, as much as the darker colors ... My four trucks before I went to white were black so I know the difference ... But in the end, color is a personal choice ...Any downside to white? Someone told me it’s a “feminine” choice. Ha. Dumb. I’ve never had a white vehicle. Thoughts?
