Im looking at buying a 5.7 hemi and the truck it came off of is not 4x4(my truck is 4x4) i was wondering if there would be any problems with the computer or wiring that i should be worried about or if the transmissions match up with the motor, the motor is a 2007 and my truck is 2003 if that helps at all. Im kind of on a time crunch because im going to pick up the motor tomorrow and a lot of people are interested so if you can help me out please do :)

the motor will fit doesnt matter if its from a 4x4 however that is a newer truck you may have to change some sensors ect.

i suggest that you place the 2 engines side by side, once you get the original engine out.

You will want to change the original sensors over to the newer engine,
Do not throw the sensors away that are on newer engine, hold onto them, they may be interchangeable

Is the 2007 engine from a 1500 or 25/3500 (this matters for MDS and/or EGR)? It's not an assumption, 2003 and 2007 have different computer communication protocols, which also translates into harness differences. So yes, you may have to change some or all of the sensors over.

Yeah i picked it up last night and one thing i noticed is that the valve covers have different coils the 03 has coils with a distributor and the 07 doesn't have a distributor so im thinking that I'm going to have to change the intake over and the coils maybe the valve covers

Hemis don't have a distributor. The 03 has coil packs with wires but there isn't a distributor.......
Don't overthink it. All you need to is swap the valve covers and coil packs and wires. You need to answer my above question though.

Isn't there a reluctor wheel on the crank or cam shaft that you have to worry about, or was that on the 4.7?

There is a tone wheel but all 03-08 hemis have the 32T ring. 4.7 had the variations these years.
Dont know how I got here, but this is great info for my 04-05 swap
