Y Pipe or Magnaflow Tru X Muffler

Is there any difference in putting a magnaflow Y pipe or a magnaflow
tru x muffler two in two out? In other words is one better than the other.

A y is 1 in 2 out (Y). The other is 2 in 2 out (X) and a muffler at the same time.

So its kinda like comparing apples to carrots. What are you trying to do?

What I thinking of doing is eliminating the Y and using the magnaflow true x muffler
two in two out. Would it have better performance and sound that way?

Yes i have heard good reviews of the 18" magnaflow tru x
However even more people just do the y and straight pipe the muffler so depends how loud you want it
