Just curious :
your 2022 Bighorn 6.7 CTD Crew Cab Short Box 4x4
would be a 4th Generation Ram made in Saltillo Mexico
are the 4th Gen & 5th Gen Infotainment Systems the same ?
==========================
below is ancient history
I don't know much about the Infotainment Systems made after 2012
Up to the time that the first 2013 Rams came out, that thing in the center of your dashboard, was actually a AM/FM/CD Player with Sirius Radio.
The radio was called a MYGIG Radio
Dodge Rams & Jeep Grand Cherokee, because of these vehicles sophisticated Electronics, they needed what is called a HIGH SPEED CANBUS.
All of Chryslers other vehicles had a Low Speed Canbus
In 2013, when FCA took over,
The Electronics were more advanced
They made 4 models
RA1 3" screen, very basic Radio
RA2 5" video screen, that could be connected up to a tailgate camera
RA3 8.4" video screen, with the above functions, ( it also had the capability of having Navigation, for a large fee )
RA4 8.4 video screen with Navigation already installed
around 2018, the new Infotainment Systems came out
They are actually a secondary computer that has a radio incorporated in it
